Alrighty, let's get started!
First of all, these auditions are the worst part of Idol for me. I think it's all staged and ridiculous how they go through a huge screening of 12,000 people and still send the wacky ones through. It's just for stupid television and entertainment purposes. However, I would be much more entertained if they did away with the ones who knew they were bad, the ones who are 'acting' all hurt, and the ones dressed in stupid outfits and just focused on the talent. We've all been watching for years and know there are bad singers and wannabe's and 'I want my 5 minutes' type people out there. I have noticed they have cut back on those nut jobs this season. Thank Goodness. Although, I do get a good laugh out of the ones who are just drastically off key and don't know it.
So for Florida there were no standouts for me. No one screaming American Idol. I did think the girl who went and changed her clothes and put makeup on was pretty good, singing Bubbly. And maybe a few others. I think the judge Kara has an awful wardrobe. What has she been wearing? These tops look like my kid took some scissors to them.
For tomorrow we have Salt Lake City, home of David Archuletta, and the teaser showed an Osmond trying out. This should be interesting. Chat with you all tomorrow.

I agree with you on the judge, Kara. Not loving her wardrobe--not sure I like her as a judge. She'a bringing a weird new vibe. Can't wait to see the Salt Lake people tonight.
Word on the street is that an Osmond ended up in Hollywood. They've had Simon on the news saying how much he likes the talent in SLC and how great, bleah, bleah. We'll have to see what they present tonight. Kristin is having a SLC Idol party for Mutual YW tonight--Uh, I'm sure it's like "choice and Accountability" or "individual worth" or something!! Maybe it's just fun and the girls have a good time thinking about the guts it takes to put yourself out there and let the world hear what you got.
I agree that they're staged. I think the shows been on long enough that they don't have to play to that cliche anymore. Just put the auditions. One person they interviewed in SLC said they sang for producers a couple of different times along the way before they got to audition in front fo the judges.
